Step 1: Prepare Your Google Sheet

First, you'll need a Google Sheet with the user data you want to import. For this example, let's create a simple spreadsheet with two columns: Name and Email.

  1. Create a Google Sheet with a Name column and an Email column.

  2. Enter the user details you want to import.

Step 2: Set Up a New Zap in Zapier

Next, we'll create a new Zap in Zapier to automate the import process.

  1. Log in to Zapier and click on Create Zap.

  2. Select a Trigger:

    • Choose Google Sheets as the trigger app.

    • Set the trigger event to New or Updated Spreadsheet Row.

    • Click Continue.

  3. Choose Your Google Account and select the spreadsheet you created.

  4. Select the Worksheet (if there's only one sheet, it will be selected by default).

  5. Test the Trigger to ensure Zapier can pull data from your spreadsheet.

To import multiple users at once, use Zapier Transfers.

  1. Publish Your Zap and name it (e.g., "Bulk Import Office Users").

  2. Transfer Existing Data:

    • After publishing, click on Transfer Existing Data.

    • If you missed this step, you can find it by going to your Zap and clicking the Transfer Data option.

  3. Select All Rows from your Google Sheet.

    • Choose Select All to include all records.

    • Click Next and then Send Data.

  4. Confirm Success:

    • Check your Tribe Social dashboard to ensure all users have been imported.

    • Tribe Social is smart enough to prevent duplicate entries, so users already in the group won't be added again.
